2007 Pin Oak Charity Show - Houston. See photo
highlights below.
- Saltador ORO, Hogan Henslee partnership, was
Champion Stallion and Best Movement of Show.
- Magico was 2nd of 10 in Hunt Seat and 3rd in Western
Pleasure. He also played basketball on live TV.
- Marquesa RDL, 22 mo. old daughter of Magico made her
show debut as 1st place, Gold Medal Movement fillies and Reserve Champion Mare
(out of 8).
- Magico's Takera, 3 yr. old Magico daughter was Best
Movement Half Andalusian and picked up the Gold Medal Movement in 2 more
classes.
- Osa II, owned by the Wiggins and the Henslees was
1st place Sr. Mare, Gold Medal Movement Sr. Mare and Champion Mare.

2007 Fiesta Texas Triple Show - Ft. Worth
- Magico offspring cleaned house! Marquesa
RDL was 1st place PRE and 1st place and Gold Medal Movement IALHA in large filly classes. Her full sister Faith, owned and bred by Gary and
Marti Cochran was Reserve Champion Mare. Hope, Marquesa and Faith took
both the Produce of Dam (Celadora, a Centella V daughter) and Get of
Sire (Magico), with special comments by the IALHA judge. On
the Half Andalusian front, Magico's quarter horse son, Magico Especial
continued his undefeated string of victories with 1st Place and Gold Medal
Movement, Champion Colt, and Best Movement Half Andalusian. His sister,
Magico's Takera, was 1st Place and Gold Medal Movement, Champion Mare
and came in 2nd in the Half Andalusian Movement class.
- Saltador ORO was 1st and 2nd Place under the 2
judges and Gold Medal Movement Stallion under both. He received a 66.7
in his first try at First Level in the Dressage show and was 2nd in Dressage
Suitability with special comments from the IALHA judge.
- Ruperto Vasquez was High Point exhibitor of
the Southwest show.
- Ruperto also trained and exhibited the PRE champion mare,
Nova MHF, full sister to our Ilusion MHF.
2006 IALHA National Show - Ft.
Worth
- Saltador ORO continued his winning ways as National
Champion Spanish Stallion (5&6 yr olds), Reserve National Grand Champion in
Movement and National TOP Five Training Level Dressage. That makes 24
championship and movement awards in 24 months.
- Suerte ORO, Saltador's first colt, was honored in a
special presentation as the 10,000th horse registered by the IALHA.
- Magico VIII landed National TOP Five Sr. Spanish
Stallion honors for the 3rd year in a row. He was also National Top
Five, 2nd Level Dressage.
- Ilusion MHF was Top Five and Reserve National
Champion Spanish Mare (3 yr olds).
- Baldomero II, trained and shown by Ruperto
Vasquez for Lori Shelton, was Gold Medal Movement, Top Five and National Grand
Champion Gelding
2006 Bluebonnet Classic Open Dressage Show - Belton, Tx.
- Magico landed 2 first place ribbons and Reserve
Champion 2nd Level in a field of 18 (mostly warmbloods). This is quite a
feat considering that he jumped from Training level straight to 2nd level this
year.
- Saltador was shown at Training Level and was High
Point Andalusian at the show both days, narrowly edging out Magico.
2006 Southwest Double Show - Waco. Tx.
- Magico was Functionality Champion (under saddle) and
Reserve Champion stallion under the judge from Spain and 1st place Hunt Seat
under the American judge (the only class we showed him in). Magico's 2
year old daughter made Champion Movement Young horse and Champion Movement,
competing with all horses except older stallions in the PRE classes.
- Saltador ORO was Reserve Champion Functionality
under the Spanish judge and Champion stallion and Best Movement under both
judges.
- Osa was Champion Movement Adult Horse under the
Spanish judge and Reserve Champion mare under the American judge.
- Illusion MHF was 1st place and Gold Medal Movement
junior mare under both judges.
2006 Pin Oak Charity Show - Houston, Tx.
- Saltador ORO was Absolute Champion and Best Movement
Stallion, PRE classes and Gold Metal Movement Sr. Stallion and Best Movement
of Show, IALHA classses
- Ilusion MHF was 2nd place Jr Mare, Gold Metal
Movement and Reserve Champion Mare, IALHA classes.
- Horses trained at Rancho Del Lago won several other
championship and movement titles.
2005 Camino Real Peruvian Horse Show - Glenn
Rose, Tx.
- Legendario was Champion and Champion
of Champions Amateur Pleasure Stallion , as well as Reserve Champion Open
Performance Horse.
- Lindera de Oro in her show debut was
First Place Bozal Performance.
2005 IALHA National Show - Ft. Worth, Tx.
- Saltador repeated as National Grand
Champion Spanish Jr. Stallion.
- Magico was National Top Five in
Training Level Dressage and repeated as National Top Five Sr. Spanish
Stallion.
- Alora ORO was National Top Five Sr.
Spanish Mare.
- Magnifico (a son of Magico) was
National Grand Champion S/P Colt.
- Magico Especial (a son of Magico) was
National Grand Champion Half Andalusian Colt and National Grand Champion Half
Andalusian Best Movement.
2005 Central Texas Dressage Society Bluebonnet Classic -
Belton, Tx.
- Magico was High Point Andalusian of the show and
achieved a 67.27 (a respectable score and 3rd place of 13 entries in his
training level class and also 3rd in a large level one class). That's good
enough to qualify for the Nationals! The highest score in either class
was 70.
2005 Equine Expo of
Texas, Ft. Worth.
- Starz wowed the crowds playing the keyboard and
Magico played basketball 4 times
for the Make a Wish Foundation. Legendario, Magico and Starz also won 3
firsts and 2 seconds in the horse show competition at the Expo.
2005 PRE Show and SWALHC Spring Fling - Corsicana, Tx.
- Magico made Absolute Champion of the Race under the
President of the Breeders' Association of Spain in the PRE show and Reserve Champion Stallion in the SWALHC spring fling.
- Magnifico RDL, a son of Magico, has won the Gold
Medal Movement Award every time presented in a colts class and was 2nd only to
the fabulous Saltador ORO in the Movement class at the SWALHC spring fling.
- Saltador ORO, owned by the Hogan/Henslee
partnership, has achieved an incredible 13 championship and movement awards in
less than one year, including Champion Stallion at the SWALHC spring
fling and Best Movement in the PRE classes.
- Alora ORO has been 1st place Senior Mare every time
presented (3 shows) and was Absolute Champion of the Race under the President
of the Breeders' Association of Spain in the PRE show in Texas.
2005 60th Pin Oak Charity Horse Show - Houston, Tx.
- Saltador ORO was Champion Stallion and Best
Movement of Show.
- Alora ORO was first place Sr. Mare.
2005 Dressage double show - Feb. 2005, Bryan, Tx.
- Magico was perfect with 4 first place ribbons in
these back-to-back shows and received the 2nd highest score for all horses on day
one.
2004 Andalusian shows - Oct. 2004, Ft. Worth
- Magico made National TOP FIVE Sr. Spanish Stallion at the IALHA National Andalusian Show.
- Saltador Oro, owned by the Hogan/Henslee
partnership, won 3 movement awards, was 1st place in the IALHA Qualifier and was National Champion
PRE Junior Stallion at the IALHA National.
He will stand at stud in 2005 at Rancho Del Lago.
- Client's horses we trained took 6 National Top Five
Awards.
Fall Festival / IALHA Andalusian National Show - Oct. 2003,
Ft. Worth, Tx.
- Dressage Suitability - Magico and Megan Georges team
up for 1st place of 7 at the Fall Festival qualifier.
- Hunt Seat Open - Same combination yields the same
result; 1st place of 4 in the Fall Festival qualifier.
- National Dressage Suitability - Linette Schuermann
substitutes for Megan and wins TOP FIVE National honors on Magico in a class
with 18 horses registered (possibly the largest class of the show).
- Halter - Client's horses trained and/or exhibited by
Ruperto Vasquez at halter take 2nd place Junior Mare (Fall Festival),
TOP FIVE National Junior Mare, 2nd place Pure Spanish Junior Mares, and
1st place and Best Movement in Pure Spanish Junior Stallions.
AAOBPPH National Show - Oct. 2003, Ft. Worth,
Tx.
- National Champion Pleasure Stallion - Carino RDL
defeats 7 qualifiers, including several regional Champions of Champions, to
take top honors.
- National Champion of Champions Pleasure Stallion -
Carino RDL wins it all under Kim Henslee. This amazing 5 year old only had
2 months of performance training by Ruperto Vasquez.
- Pleasure Classes - RDL Coqueta
and Kim Henslee land 2nd place (the judge announced it was a very tough call)
out of 23 entries in Amatuer Owner to Ride. Carino RDL wins 1st place Western
with Kim and 2nd place Costume with Walter.
- High Point Junior - Crystal Wiggins won Reserve High
Point Junior on PCR Alicia Maria in a crowded field of riders.
Peruvian Digest Futurity Show - Sept. 2003, Ft. Worth,
Tx.
- Overall standings - RDL Legendario ends up as 8th
highest money winner of 75 money winners at show of ~250 horses.
- Versatility Award and Res. Champion Pleasure Stallion -
RDL Legendario does it exhibited by Katheryn Mathews, Kim Henslee, Marti
Kilian and Ruperto Vasquez.
- High Point Juniors - Lisa West and Katheryn Mathews
tied for Reserve High Pt. Junior riders.
Southwest Andalusian Show - May 2003, Corsicana,
Texas
- Senior Stallions - Magico was 1st place and won the
Gold Metal Movement Award
- Best Movement - Magico was Best Movement of all
mares, stallions, geldings
- Hunt Seat Amateur - Kim and Magico qualify for the
National Show with a 3rd place
- Championship - Magico was CHAMPION
of the show!
Sooner State Show - May 2003, Chickasha,
Oklahoma
- Breeding Division - Carino RDL was 2nd of 8 in Merito
Zootechnico and 1st in Stallions 4 to 6.
- Performance Division - RDL Travieso in his first show
in bit was 3rd in Parade, 2nd in Musical Costume, 4th in Performance Geldings
and 2nd in Champagne in classes of 6 to 10 horses.
