Monte is a multiple Champion of Champions Performance gelding and is the 1995 PPHRNA National High Point Performance horse of the year.

Monte Lindo was sired by Monte Carlo, out of Antares and his dam is Besame Linda, out of Lindero. The breeder is Mr./Mrs. John Burgess. He was hand raised by Walter Cardenas and his family. We purchased Monte at the Lone Star Regional show in November, 1994. Our daughter, Kimberly, needed a gelding for junior classes because our mares were often busy with the breeding program and we were constantly competing on borrowed horses with little preparation time. Monte has developed quite a fan club because he is so versatile. In 1995 he was shown in 58 classes, in 6 shows under 8 judges. He placed an incredible 51 times with 7 different riders on him including, luxury gelding, novice rider, western, costume, bareback, pleasure and performance gelding, champagne and a wide variety of junior classes. Monte has been featured in the Dallas Morning News (9/5/95) and in the 1996 April-May issue of Peruvian Digest.

Monte Lindo has achieved an incredible 60+ first place, championship and special titles in only 2 years!. Among these are:
