Marquesa RDL by Magico VIII - 2005 P.R.E. line bred Guardiola multi champion mare.  Marquesa was one of those foals that just had something special, apparent from the day she was born.  Even though she was 2nd to the youngest foal in that year's crop of 8, she was the unquestioned leader of the baby herd.  Allen Pogue, working with her at 2 weeks, remarked, "You better get a handle on this one quickly.  She has fire in her belly!"  It quickly became apparent that she was the type horse everyone dreams of producing:  A brave confident horse with a social personality, grace of movement and proper conformation.  She always comes up to greet visitors to her pasture and let's the other horses know immediately that "the people have come to see me."  I was nervous about taking her to her first show at 20 mos.  I didn't know how she would handle the confinement and her first trip away from home.  I needn't have worried.  Her reaction to all the new stuff was great (see below) and she won Reserve Champion Mare.  That was quickly followed by 8 more championships and movement awards, including Reserve National Champion Spanish Mare in 2007 and Reserve National Champion Dressage Sport Horse Prospect in Hand in 2008 and Champion mare at Pin Oak in 2008 and 2009.  Her dam was a daughter of Centella V, Champion of Spain and her sire is our Absolute Champion, Magico VIII, a grandson of Centella V.
